Did You Know? (DYK?) is a new feature in the News! Section. Each entry will highlight a feature of the site that might not be known, as well as tips on using your computer in ways that you might not be aware.

When browsing a Member's Photo Gallery, many users rely on the default "in-frame" method of viewing the photos. This method uses smaller images (480x720) so they don't break apart the web page) and it uses javascript to do this. Some users have javascript disabled, and on Macs some versions of Safari have this feature disabled by default, so it may not even work.

Never fear, I have tried to think of everything. Just below the lead image for the gallery is a link to an HTML version of the photo galleries. Each image is larger, and the contact sheet is at its most basic html that even members with Windows 95 can view the images in large format. It also has great navigation for viewing each image.

There is also an Autoplay feature so you can do hands -free browsing, but again, will need javascript to be enabled.
